Who We Are
Radical Hope Therapy is the data controller responsible for handling your personal information.
ICO registration: ZB939710
Our Legal Basis for Processing Data
We process your data under one or more lawful bases:
- Enquiries / Current Therapy: Data is processed as part of preparing for or delivering a contract (i.e., therapy).
- After Therapy Ends: Data may be retained based on legitimate interest, in line with ethical and professional obligations.
- Sensitive Data: Health-related data is processed under special category rules, as necessary for providing health treatment.
How We Use and Store Your Information
Initial Contact
We collect basic details (e.g., name, contact info, therapy needs) to respond to your enquiry. If therapy does not proceed, your data is retained only briefly and then securely deleted, unless you request earlier removal.
During Therapy
Session content remains confidential unless there is a significant risk of harm. We keep essential records (e.g., contact info, session notes) in secure, encrypted digital files.
Non-essential email correspondence is deleted regularly; important emails are stored securely with your records.
After Therapy
Client records are retained only for as long as required under professional guidelines or legal obligations. You may request early deletion, and we will consider this in line with data protection law.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not share your data with third parties. If future services (e.g., software support or secure backups) involve external providers, they will be carefully selected to meet strict privacy and confidentiality standards. This notice will be updated if that occurs.
Your Rights
Under data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to how your data is used
- Request your data in a portable format
